The Hitchin' Process of Nathan and Whitney Lundquist

Well, we did it! We done got married! And I am super glad we did!

For those of you who were with us at either the wedding ceremony in Israel or the reception back in Columbus, thank you for coming! We loved our time with you all. For those of you who either don't live in Israel, forgot about it, got lost trying to find your way to the reception, or just live too far away to even try to find it in the first place, we missed you! And although we're all sad you weren't there, Whitney and I have a little something for you to ease the tears - we have posted a video of our entire hitchin' process right up there above this paragraph so you can experience it all right here and now!

Note: For those of you who weren't at the reception OR left the reception before we played the alternate ending of our wedding video on the big screen, it too is included in the video posted above!

Without further chitter chatter - enjoy!

Love,
Nathan and Whitney Lundquist

Our story / What we are up to now / Gifts

Our Story
Once upon a time, Nathan and I met.. in Narnia. Well, we met outside the movie theatre to see The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. We were both attending the same church, and so through our involvement there, we found ourselves in more and more mutual circumstances. For the next two years, we grew in our friendship and came to know each other pretty well. As much as I enjoyed and respected Nate as a friend, I didn’t really foresee anything coming of us beyond friendship – he was in and out of town on a Christian Ministry band tour, and I was attending college for Engineering. Our paths weren’t exactly colliding.

(Out to dinner the day of our engagement - Salt Lake City, Utah)

Eventually I realized that Engineering was not for me, and somehow that Hebrew is (thanks God!), and so then switched my major. Naturally I started planning to study abroad in Israel.

Nate is passionate about film and missionary work. At this same time in his life, he was waiting for a door to open for him to leave and do missionary work, but didn’t know where, and didn’t know when. One day, he got a call from an old time family friend whom Nate hadn’t heard from in ten years, and in the next moment he was on his way to Israel as a part of a film crew.

Nate and I were both in Israel at the same time, and largely thanks to a mutual close friend of ours, Jamie, who was also there, we were able to spend lots of time together… and to fall in love!

We started dating soon after I went home, and found that God has brought us together for a covenant relationship. We are eager to enjoy marriage together for the rest of our lives!

What we are up to now
I have spent the last couple years traveling to and from Israel with a crew of a few others as we've set out to make films about the historical reliability of the Bible. With Whitney as my new wife (herself with a degree in Hebrew from OSU) we plan on moving to Israel indefinitely to continue making films for a series we are producing called Expedition Bible. Expedition Bible is a series of half hour long episodes that are designed to confront this world with legitimate evidence to support the Bible as the Word of God. You can check out our first release "The Jesus Tomb Unmasked" on www.ExpeditionBible.com.

(Kayaking the Sea of Galilee - Capernaum, Israel)

While in Israel, Whitney plans to attend graduate school to further her Hebrew studies in pursuit of her dream to teach little kids Biblical Greek and Hebrew so they can better understand the scriptures for themselves. We would love and appreciate your prayers and support as we make this huge transition to Israel in the next several months!

Gifts
Since we are planning to move to Israel soon we need to pack light, thus! Instead of getting Whitney and I a gift, we would rather you support us through the Ministry (Expedition Bible) with either a one time or a monthly donation, if you'd be so generous! To support us through a donation to Expedition Bible please carefully follow the instructions below:
