(Out to dinner the day of our engagement - Salt Lake City, Utah)
Eventually I realized that Engineering was not for me, and somehow that Hebrew is (thanks God!), and so then switched my major. Naturally I started planning to study abroad in Israel.
Nate is passionate about film and missionary work. At this same time in his life, he was waiting for a door to open for him to leave and do missionary work, but didn’t know where, and didn’t know when. One day, he got a call from an old time family friend whom Nate hadn’t heard from in ten years, and in the next moment he was on his way to Israel as a part of a film crew.

(All dressed up after David and Deborah Hopler's wedding - Columbus, Ohio)
Nate and I were both in Israel at the same time, and largely thanks to a mutual close friend of ours, Jamie, who was also there, we were able to spend lots of time together… and to fall in love!
We started dating soon after I went home, and found that God has brought us together for a covenant relationship. We are eager to enjoy marriage together for the rest of our lives!

Hi! Whitney, I'm your mother's cousin, Sarah Dunlap Broad. Congratulations on your marriage.
What an amazing story you two have, and what an amazing story God seems to be writing with your life. You two are perfectly suited to the mission you're pursuing together!
I look forward to hearing more from you and seeing your future films.
